I have over 30 years of experience in photonics and communications research in both industry and academia, mainly on devices and systems for optical communications. At UCL, this has included optical phase locking and optical comb generation, but in recent years I have also worked to develop the field of photonically generated THz communications and related photonic integrated circuits. Before joining UCL in 2005, I worked in industry for Nortel Networks at their research and development laboratories in Harlow.
